Temporary practice closure

We are disappointed to announce that our Axe Valley Vets branch in Blackford will temporarily close for refurbishment on Monday 19th October 2026 . We will be back in touch with a date for reopening.

However, the teams at Axe Valley Vets Cheddar, Wells, Woolavington, Weston and Winscombe would love to welcome you and your pet(s) in the interim. You can expect the same level of expertise and support. They will have full access to our clinical records to ensure continuity of care, and you will continue to receive reminders for appointments and other regular communications as per usual.

If you have a future appointment booked at a team member will be contacting you shortly to rebook this for you.

Online payment facility will continue

Our systems and services will continue to be available at our Cheddar, Wells, Woolavington, Weston and Winscombe branches meaning you can rest assured there will be no disruption to your pet’s care. This also means your data would continue to be processed by us and our third-party providers to ensure we continue to provide veterinary care. Due to the preparation work often required, this initial consultation may not be suitable for clients looking for a second opinion. If you are looking for a second opinion, please contact us directly and speak to a member of our team, who can advise on your specific requirements.

Terms and conditions

*First consult offer price of £29 is available at participating practices from 21 September 2026.

Available to new pets registering at a participating practice for the first time or current registered pets not seen by a vet for two or more years. Farm, equine and exotic animals are excluded from the offer. Follow-on treatment, further consultations, emergency, specialist, referral, and out-of-hours consultations are not included in the offer. To take up the offer, appointments must be booked with the participating practice within 3 months of registration. We reserve the right to withdraw the offer at any time without notice. 

All services are provided in accordance with the Terms of Sale for Veterinary Services. We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
