Fluoroscopy for pets is an advanced imaging technique that uses a specialised X-ray machine to create real-time moving images of your pet’s internal organs and tissues. Unlike standard X-rays, which capture a single image, fluoroscopy provides a continuous scan, allowing our veterinary team to see how your pet's organs function and move in real time.

A pet fluoroscopy scan may be recommended if your pet is experiencing issues with swallowing, breathing, or gastrointestinal function. Fluoroscopy is commonly used to identify conditions, including airway disorders, oesophageal abnormalities, and other functional issues that may not be visible on standard imaging alone.

During a fluoroscopy scan, your pet is positioned near the imaging equipment while the specialised X-ray machine captures continuous images. This allows the veterinary team to observe internal processes as they happen, providing a clear and accurate assessment of function and movement.
